Evie is a 6-month-old Cane Corso/mix. She is 50.1 6-month-old She was dropped off at Payton state hospital to fend for herself. She was roaming Patton State Hospital for a month depending on the Correctional officers at night to keep her safe from being eaten by coyotes. Evie followed closely by the Correction officers patrol cars she ran all night, so the coyotes stayed away from her.  The correction officers fed her on all shifts after she was hanging around for the faculty for a good week and half. The Payton state employees also fed her. Evie was very skittish and afraid of people but has started to warm up to her foster family and acting like a puppy. She is in good health. She Has had her Vaccines and has been microchipped. Evie is warming up to other dogs but needs a little work.  Someone who will be patient with her and work with her on socializing as well as being around people. She can be fearful but will warm up to you. She is so loveable and sweet. She really just wants to be part of the family.

Please fill out our online application (www.fochp.org).  Once you meet the pet and decide it is the right pet for your family there is an adoption fee.  The adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, microchip, 30-day pet health insurance which you will need to order when we provide you with the number.    Our adoption fees are non-refundable so please be sure you are ready for a commitment to the pet you are interested in. Please be sure to check your spam mail if you feel you have not heard from us.

Once we receive the application, we can put you in touch with the foster home so you can schedule a time to meet the pet.  Our adoption process is pretty quick, and a lot of volunteers are involved to ensure you get a quick response.  Please…. only fill out the application if you are ready to adopt right now and have consent from all parties involved.  Once you submit the application please verify that it is received (the screen will say your application has been received) if you do not get that message it has not been submitted. – if you do not hear from us within 1 hour, we may not have received your application. 

 

Adoptions are based on Best fit/match and then 1st come 1st serve.  Please check your email regularly for a response from the foster and be prepared for the opportunity to meet the dog as soon as they can be adopted.

 

 

Please donate $5 to help save a pet's life, every cent will go to the cause.

100% of your donation will go to help save a pet's life. Of course, saving a pet's life will cost more than $5, but if 50 people give just $5, a life can be saved.

When you give through a lot of the large charities, 35-60% of your money goes for fundraising, advertising, overhead, etc. Your small donation can really be effective here since it will all go to help save an animal's life.
