Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Baxter!
Baxter is a 1.5-year-old Lab mix with a big heart in a small package—just 31 lbs! This petite boy is dog-friendly and enjoys canine company, but he still needs some confidence-building when it comes to new people. With those he knows, Baxter is affectionate and sweet, but he can be reactive toward strangers as well as objects with wheels like cars, bikes, skateboards, or scooters. A home with herding breed experience and low traffic would be ideal, along with the ability to continue his socialization training so he can learn to feel secure and neutral around everyone.
Baxter is a smart, active pup who thrives when he has a “job” to do. He isn’t sure how to play with toys just yet, but he loves working on his basic training and mental enrichment exercises. With the right guidance, Baxter will blossom into a well-balanced, loyal adventure partner ready to take on the world by your side.
