Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Baxter!
Did you know French Bulldogs can be notorious for chasing things with wheels? Suddenly Baxter makes a whole lot more sense!
Baxter is 43% French Bulldog, 23% Weimaraner, 17% German Shepherd, with a few other breeds mixed in. While things with wheels can still make him anxious, he has been working incredibly hard and has made huge strides in learning to manage those big feelings.
Now Baxter is looking for a forever home that will continue building his confidence and celebrate just how far he’s come. He’s been doing wonderfully meeting new people and, once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll happily melt into your legs soaking up every back scratch you’re willing to give.
Baxter would do best in a home with older children or adults only, as young kids make him too anxious. He absolutely loves other dogs and gets along well with most of them. Energetic puppies may need a proper introduction, but we’d especially love to see him join a home with a confident canine companion who can continue showing him that the world—and even those scary things on wheels—isn’t so frightening after all.
His favorite hobby? Sprinklers! Spot one and he’ll sprint straight toward it with pure joy. Lakes, baths, and hoses are fine, but sprinklers are on a whole different level. He may not be a full-fledged water dog, but he’s definitely a sprinkler connoisseur.
Baxter has already overcome so much and continues to impress us every day. All he needs now is someone willing to believe in him, keep cheering him on, and give him the forever home he’s been waiting for.
